I find it very odd that a sunset can appear so beautiful even when viewed through disgusting smoke, smog, and pollution. Sometimes you can see the pyramids on the horizon behind the tall buildings but the smog was quite thick on this day. And this is just a tiny sliver of Cairo...imagine this scene stretching as far as you can see in both directions.
