Ruins from the Pools of Bethesda. This was a really cool place because they have excavated so much underground and you can actually walk down into the cisterns that were there in Jesus' day. Jerusalem has been leveled and rebuilt so many times over the years that it is difficult to imagine what it must have looked like when Jesus walked there. Very little, if any, of what we actually see today is actually what was there in His day!

i could comment on everyone of these photos..i'll refrain, mainly because i'm trying to cut down on internet time. i'm sure that the holiday season was filled with joy and sadness for you. i do hope that the joy was bright and that you found comfort in sadness.
i can't wait to have a cup of coffee with you and martha and all dream and talk and discuss and tell stories...how wonderful it will be!
