The inside of one of the pharaonic tombs in Valley of the Kings. We weren't supposed to take photos but we figured that the smoke from the guard's daily chain smoking probably caused more damage to the ancient reliefs than the flash from our camera. It was incredible to see how so much has been preserved over thousands of years, even the colors. I was impressed with how much work was put into these tombs, when it was all for nothing.
